I teach international communication because I have lived inside it.
I began teaching English while studying pharmacy at Sechenov University in Moscow and later moved into international scientific research. I completed a master's degree in bioengineering at KAUST in Saudi Arabia on a fully funded fellowship, worked in multicultural research teams and published in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
Inside international laboratories, I saw brilliant people misunderstand one another every day — rarely because they lacked vocabulary. More often, the problem was how different cultures expressed disagreement, authority, politeness, uncertainty and commitment.
My own background combines language education, scientific research, Mandarin Chinese and years of teaching students from elementary level to senior professionals. That lets me work not only with English itself, but with the professional and cultural context in which it is used.
